Old junkyard truck at the car show during Hot Alma Nights 2012 in August. The old truck has character and grit along with bundled barbed wire hanging from the front grill.
I have an old ceramic Buddha that I have had a long time and I do not remember where I got it. There is an opening underneath my computer desk on through the back, and this where the Buddha sits. The desk sits catty-cornered in the room and the back faces the door. Yesterday afternoon, I walked into my room and saw Moppet resting beside Buddha. I grabbed my camera and shot some photos catching both smiling. I processed the photos in color and B&W adding portrait soft to both.
The photo of the farmstead nestled in the Kansas Flint Hills was taken atop a hill that provided a panoramic view. The summer has been long, hot, and dry and now coming to a close leading into autumn. I wonder what this scene will look this when the colors are turned for full autumn? Hopefully, I will get to see and photograph this farmstead scene again and after some good soaking rain. I am so looking forward to cooler temperatures, autumn foliage, and the first snow.
