Linda, I am groaning now. I should have been patient and waited because I so wanted to see the eclipse and it was deep red in some areas where viewed. Yeah for you that you were able to see some of the eclipse. Yes, it is such a wonderful phenomenon. Thank you!

Preston, you know, I didn't think about that as to two full globes together. Usually the moon is opposite of the sun, as seen. I was really surprised the new moon showed. Thank you, my dear. xx00

Linda, I agree with you about as to most people have no idea how hard farmers work. While I was out there, this farmer worked away with some dust blowing. And farm trucks passed by me on the gravel road. I wondered if they knew about the solar eclipse. Also, I wondered if they thought I was nuts. I love scenes of farmers working in the fields. Thank you!

Most people have no idea how hard farmers work, or what long hours they put in. This is a wonderful capture of a basic reality of their lives.

This is a wonderful shot! I was so lucky - the bit of eclipse we could see took place beginning just about 20 minutes before sunset. It was very hazy, so with the sun so low in the sky, it was deep, deep red and it was possible to just look at it without the need for glasses and such. I suppose the coverage was about 20% - enough to turn the sun into a recognizable crescent shape. Such a wonderful phenomenon!

Wow! Look at all those turtles. They must love the place. (I don't obey the rules of photography either. What fun is that?)

This is actually more interesting for it shows the entire moon and sun beside each other. I don't know if I''ve ever seen the two full globes like this before. Great shot!!!
