Kansas Summer Twilight

Kansas Summer Twilight

This photo was taken a year or so ago. I had it saved on an external hard drive.  I was looking for something colorful and interesting.  I remember the evening of this photo shoot.  A storm was quickly approaching and we hurried home.  It is amazing how Anna and I can remember each and every photo we have taken.  Not so sure if it is the photo or just the shared time.  It is a pretty wonderful thing growing old together.

It’s a gorgeous shot! So nice that the 2 of you have such good times together!

This is amazing. When I was in grade school, my mother made me a dress in a blue and green plaid. I cried and cried, because “everyone” knew blue and green don’t go together. My grandma took me outside, and made me look at the sky. “What color is that?” she asked. I said “blue”. Then, we went through the same thing with the trees, and I said they were green. She asked if they “went together”, and I said yes. She pointed out that it God thought it was okay to put blue and green together, I shouldn’t worry about it.

Since that dress, I’ve never seen exactly the same green and blue. Here they are. This photo looks just like that dress!

Thank you for sharing the story about the dress Linda. Sounds like your Grandmother was a very wise woman indeed. Looking at this photo with this new perspective you introduced, I can see how blue and green actually work well together.

Thanks Barbara. The two of us really do enjoy these photo shoots but we can’t forget Moppet; he enjoys them very much, yes he does.
