What Remains

It is amazing the things one can find as beautiful.  Before Anna and I really got into photography I would not have given this structure any notice at all.  I’m sure I would have ignored it.  Now I’ve always one, sometimes two eyes open for a photograph.  My idea of a photograph is to draw a person into it and make them wonder.  I’ve tried to get the “awe” type of landscape photo but have just never managed  to do it.  So I stick with things, anything which can pull the viewer into the photo.

Preston, thanks for giving me your card at the PO today, your website is AMAZING and so creative and shows so much talent, how nice you have another life to go to after work! Beautiful work.

Thank you so much Cris for the kind words. It is wonderful to have something like this to be involved with outside the work force.

Preston, I think your style does just as you hope it does…pull us into your works. Like this photo, makes me want to walk over an peak around the structure to see the field the Sun is illuminating.

Beautiful use of light in this photograph. I know what you mean about photography making you take more notice of things.

I’ve come to think of blogging as a valuable practice. It’s like rehearsing a piece of music, or working to perfect a turn on a ski hill. It helps me pay attention to the details.

Best of all I’ve met other people who are paying attention, too. I like the time I spend in Kansas, Preston. You and Anna are doing good work.

Thanks Scott for entering in the photo.

YB, I take photos to work to show and talk about. Fellow co-workes are now asking me if I had seen the mist this morning, or did I see the color of the sky on the way to work and so forth. It is fun to watch others get involved.

I agree with you Gerry. Blogging and sharing experiences with others is really nice. I enjoy the virtual company.
