This is sort of like one of those tests to see which piece does not fit. Could you just imagine what it would be like if you went back in time with this smart car into the 1950′s?

Hahahaha! The smart car is so cute compared to the rough, rugged looking cars of the 50′s!

The smart car is cute but it has a very small engine located in the back and creature comforts are lacking for a price tag of 12 to 16,000. Top gas mileage is about 32 on the road. Seems like it should get much better than that for it’s size. If it could get like 60 mpg then I bet they would sell like hot cakes. The body of the car has a strong metal frame and is relatively pretty safe, much safer than a motorcycle.

If you went back into the 50s with a Smart Car some guy with a wavy DA and a pack of cigarettes tucked in his rolled sleeve would kick sand in your carburetor. But I digress. Those images have impact!

Your photos are excellent! I’m surprised that little car gets only 32 mpg. In the late 90′s I owned a Ford Festiva that got 45 mpg. It can be done!

Two first photo please me we much. The colors which are very strong, they are to my mind and of course that they are “ancient”.

Smart is small. It can be seen very often. What is “funny” that when it came, owners started to park them transversely. Nowadays it is not accepted.
