Before The Storm Kansas Farmstead

This was a maintained abandoned farmstead in the Kansas countryside. I just loved the property and felt winsome while viewing a tattered curtain blowing out of a door window of the house (not featured in photo). At one time, this was a very productive and well-loved farmstead. More photos pertaining to Before The Storm Kansas Farmstead will be posted at: Surface and Surface Photography Gallery.

I love the soft blue of this. I always feel sad when I see homes like this. They must have held much life through the years, now to be left standing– all alone.

That old house has seen many storms over the years. It’s too bad that it’s no longer a home.

It’s one of those places that I wish could talk as it looks like it has lots of stories to tell.

Beautiful blues in this one, Anna. :)

Hi Barbara. The colors were wonderful with the evening time and approaching storm. This place just had a good feel about it and I loved the view all around. Thanks!

Hi Montucky. I’m sorry I wasn’t clear about the house as it wasn’t featured in this photo. In this photo are the outbuildings, barn and silos, and all behind the house. I haven’t yet processed the house and more of the farmstead photos, and when I do they will all be posted at our Gallery. Yes, it is too bad the old house isn’t a home. Thanks!

Hi Robin. Yes, I bet a novel could be written about the story of this place. Thanks!
