This is one of the reasons I try to keep my camera with me. I was coming home from work when I saw this vehicle pull off to the side of the road with some sort of engine problem. I whipped my truck around and offered them some assistance, but they had it pretty much under control. Then I asked if I could take their photo.

This looks like it could have been taken back in the 1920′s. The driver and front passenger’s caps are perfect. The guy in the back..well, you could say it was a ball cap from then, too.
Fantastic capture, Preston! Very serendipitous.
How great is this! Always carry camera–absolutely solid advice!
Thanks Scott, but I missed the really good shot. They had the hood of the car open and the two men were leaning over the engine while the woman sat in the car. I tried taking the photo but for some stupid reason I did not have my battery in the camera. Had to go to the truck to find and install my battery. By the time I was set they had closed the hood and were climbing back into the vehicle. However they blew the horn on the vehicle which caused the smoke to fly as it bellowed.
Robin I had to look up serendipitous. (lucky in making unexpected and fortunate discoveries). I agree I am very serendipitous. Now I have to learn how to pronounce the word. Thanks for the comment Robin.
Bo my problem is, I have sometimes left my camera at work forgetting to take it with me when I was heading home.
Wonderful shot Preston! I love how bright and vivid it is!
Looks like they stepped out of the 20′s.
I really like that shot of the car and passengers Preston, you just happen to be at the right place at the right time. I am still going to do like I promised and send you some shots from here in Georgia. This is such a lovely time of the year, every thing is so filled out and green. Love to all —Dad—
Thanks Barbara.
Dad I’m looking forward to some more postcards from Georgia to share with the viewers.
This is one of my favorites on your blog! It radiates “FUN”! Well done.
