For me, traveling a countryside road by a four-wheel-drive pickup or on foot is to be carefree. A countryside dirt and gravel road will take me into nature whether by crops or wild and rugged landscape in the four seasons. I lose my self and identity without a care or worry. I am just with and within nature exploring the byways touching something bigger than me that is glorious, sweeping, alive and subtly humming and sings my soul. To go deep within nature, following the countryside road whether straight into infinity, or along dips and bends, or rutted, and beside creeks, leaving behind the trail of man into what is Earth both timeless yet changes in the weathering eons and whispering wind.
