Nothing like a bright orange goldfish to wake everyone up. Several years back my father sent me cash for my birthday; funny thing for an old man to do, send his old son cash for a birthday. Actually there was a lot of reasoning into his gift at the time. Several times in the past dad attempted to give me sums of cash in order to help Anna and me when times were slim for us and we were struggling. My ego, pride, or whatever you want to call it always kept me from accepting his help. No, I was fine and was going to make it on my own. However this last time the money was in the form of a gift and I knew he wanted me to have it. In any case, from this money, I started my adventure into raising goldfish. I now have two large goldfish in a 55 gallon aquarium which has two filters and an ultra-violet light to keep the water perfect. Dad died a couple years ago and I miss him so much. I imagine I will keep goldfish for as long as I possibly can.
