Bison grazing in the Kansas prairie. This bison watched me carefully and curiously. At times, the head bull protecting the heard would push them back a safe distance from us. Perhaps the strange objects in our hands that we raised to our faces appeared threatening. The bison are magnificent and quiet creatures.
